The battle at the ministry has changed the wizarding world forever. The powerful Death Eaters achieved their goal and retrieved the prophecy for Lord Voldemort. Once that globe was placed in his hand the future of the magical world as we all knew it changed forever. The Dark Lord is growing stronger once again and so is his army and the rest if the wizarding world has taken notice. The Order is trying to regroup and gather themselves back together again. The death of Sirius Black at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange has left a hole in all of their lives. His loss has been felt by many as he was a vital and important member of the Order. The battered and bruised members of Dumbledore’s army have limped their way back to Hogwarts, in the hopes of getting better. In their minds the battle was not in vain and things could still be fixed. They are all holding onto a little bit of hope that dwells in their hearts.

Little do those young minds know that hope is fleeting in the world of magic. Those many panes of glass were not the only things that broke into a million pieces at the ministry that day. The long powerful arm of Voldemort has reached inside the ten levels, and has started to take control. People are suddenly disappearing and new faces are showing up in their places. The witches and wizards that were once level heads and people of power have been replaced, with those who obey. For starters Lucius Malfoy was appointed Head Governor of Hogwarts. He along with other Death Eaters and supporters have been placed in various positions all over.
"He's got the upper hand!"
The dawning of a new era has taken place. Families are being rounded up, and questioned about their blood status. Some of those families are never seen again. The village of Hogsmeade that was once filled with active students all shopping now has a different purpose. It is now the home of the Wizarding Housing Authority, an organization that relocates families that do not live up to the standards set by those families deemed ‘worthy’. Many people now live in fear that they will be pulled next. Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven that it once was, as the number of students in its hallowed halls has begun to decline. Things are being turned upside down, and with the great Harry Potter, physically and mentally not able to help, the entire magical world is at Lord Voldemort’s mercy. Who will stand up and fight, who will cower in fear? The dark mark now hangs over the sky of all that is magic.[align=right]
